The Mavs’ Comeback

Last night, the Dallas Mavericks came back from the brink of going down 2-0 in the NBA finals.  Down 15 points late in the 4th quarter, Dirk and the gang showed stalwart defense and gritty offense.  With the clock winding down, Nowitzki spun away from the defending Heat player and made a smooth lay-up to give his team a 2 point lead.  Instead of calling a timeout (not sure if they had any left at the time), Miami decided to make a rushed play to win the game.  Wade’s long 3-point attempt hit the back rim and we now have ourselves a 1-1 series heading to Dallas for games 3 and 4.  I’m rooting for the Mavs and was encouraged to see their big effort.  It gives me a little hope they may actually be able to take down “the big three” from Miami.
